The Dashboard Top Stats bar displays the main interest, as defined in your program, and the percent of change in its consumption compared to the previous month. A rise in consumption is shown in Green, and a decline in consumption is shown in Red:
The Stats bar
Change Last Month – shows the percentage of change in the main interest’s consumption this month compared to last month. For example, in the screenshot above the main interest is ‘NCAA’, and there has been a large decline in consumer interest in NCAA over the last 30 days. If your main interest (in this case ‘NCAA’) is an event, this result would mean that your audience is no longer very interested in it. If your main interest is your brand name, the dashboard gives you an immediate indication of consumers’ interest in it.
Relative to Key Interests – shows the difference in the percentage change in the main interest consumption compared to the key interests (as defined in your program). In the example above, interest in ‘NCAA’ dropped, but it rose compared to the other key interests (in this case ‘college basketball’ and ‘March madness’), meaning that consumer interest in the other key interests dropped even more.
If your main interest is your brand, and the key interests are, say, competitor’s brands, the stats bar provides you with a quick comparison of how well your brand is doing compared to your competitors.
Sentiment – shows the consumers’ emotions or reactions towards the brand over the last month; the percentage of negative and positive sentiment. In the example above, about a quarter of the sources (including tweets, web pages, and more) show negative sentiment towards the main interest ‘NCAA’, and slightly more than that show positive sentiment.
If your main interest is your brand name, this shows you what people feel about your brand right now.
Roll the mouse over the List button at the right end of the interest bar to show related trends in the Discovery screen or to open the Insights screen with the brand name and key interests as defined in your program (see Discovery and Insights for details).
